The obverse shows the Cuauhxicalli Eagle Bowl, more commonly known as the Aztec Calendar Stone.

The reverse side shows Mexico’s National Coat of Arms, which depicts a Mexican (golden) eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake.
